Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, an LPG connection scheme for BPL families is gaining a lot of traction from around the country. Under PM Ujjwala Yojana, financial assistance is being provided to BPL families on new connections. The target was revised for PM Ujjwala Yojana to 10 crore poor households which has been achieved.
Under the Ujjwala Yojana, all poor people in the country are provided a subsidy for purchasing a gas connection. This scheme is operated by the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas. PM Ujjwala Yojana
Millions of people in the country still live below the poverty line. Consequently, women living in marginalized areas use traditional resources like wood, cow dung cakes, and coal for cooking. Cooking in this manner releases many harmful gases, which can cause respiratory problems for women.
To address this issue, the central government has launched the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana. Under the PM Ujjwala Yojana, the Government of India is providing free LPG gas cylinders to economically disadvantaged women in the country.

- Upon visiting the website, a page will open where you must select your state.
- After successfully selecting your state, you will need to select your district.
- Next, you will need to select your block.
- When you select your block, a list will open. You can search for your name in this list.
