The online application last date for PM USP CSSS has now been extended. For the academic session 2025-26, the Ministry of Education has announced that students can now submit fresh and renewal applications till 30 November 2025. All students must complete the process on the NSP portal at scholarships.gov.in.
Pradhan Mantri Uchchatar Shiksha Protsahan Yojana
The Pradhan Mantri Uchchatar Shiksha Protsahan Yojana is a flagship initiative started by the Government of India to promoting higher education among students from economically and socially disadvantaged backgrounds. The scholarships support academic fees, maintenance allowances, and other essential needs.
This scheme will be provided to eligible candidates on the basis of their marks obtained in class 12th. This scheme supports students from poor families so they can continue higher education without worrying about money problems.
Eligibility for Pradhan Mantri Uchchatar Shiksha Protsahan Yojana
- Students must be above the 80th percentile in Class 12 board examination of any recognized board
- Students should be studying a regular degree or diploma course
- College or institution must be recognized by AICTE or other bodies
- Family income should not be more than 4.5 lakh rupees per year
- Students should not be availing benefits of any other scholarship or fee reimbursement schemes.
- Applications must be submitted online via the National Scholarships Portal (NSP).

STEP 2:Â Fill all details like personal information, Class 12 marks, course details and bank account information carefully.
STEP 3:Â Upload required documents such as income certificate (for fresh applicants) and previous year mark sheet (for renewal).
STEP 4:Â Submit the form and inform your college so they can verify it online without delay.
STEP 5:Â Once college verification is done, the application moves forward automatically to the concerned education board.
The Pradhan Mantri Uchchatar Shiksha Protsahan Yojana aims to support students from the Union Territories (UTs) and Ladakh by providing scholarships for higher education outside these UTs. All applications must be submitted online on the National Scholarship Portal at scholarships.gov.in.
