Aahar Jharkhand is the Public Distribution System (PDS) portal of the state of Jharkhand. The system provides subsidized food grains and essential commodities to eligible beneficiaries under various categories of ration cards. Under this scheme, the government provides essential commodities like rice, wheat, kerosene etc. to the beneficiaries every month at reasonable prices.

Aahar Jharkhand

The Aahar Jharkhand portal is created by the Department of Food, Public Distribution and Consumer Affairs. On this portal, one can get all the information related to Ration Card/Green Card application, eligibility list, and PDS (Public Distribution System) in the state.

Aahar Jharkhand Portal provides online ration card related services to the people of Jharkhand state. All families in Jharkhand are grouped as Above Poverty Line (APL), Below Poverty Line (BPL), or Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) beneficiaries to make sure food reaches the right people at affordable prices.

It also helps reduce corruption and food wastage by making the food distribution system more clear and efficient across Jharkhand.

Types of Ration Cards

Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY): Provides 35 kg monthly subsidized food grains to the poorest families.

Below Poverty Line (BPL): Low-income families get subsidized food through PDS.

Above Poverty Line (APL): Families above poverty line with limited or no subsidies.

Priority Household (PHH): Under NFSA, households receive 5 kg food grains per person each month.

Documents Needed for Ration Card Application

While applying for Jharkhand Ration Card, applicants have to submit certain documents to prove their identity, residence and eligibility. To apply for a ration card, either online or offline, the applicant must provide:

• Aadhaar Card
• Proof of Address
• Bank Passbook
• Income Certificate
• Ration Card Surrender Receipt (if applicable)
• Identity proof of all family members
• Passport-sized photo

How to Register Online for Aahar Jharkhand Ration Card

Step 1: Visit the Official Aahar Jharkhand Website.

Step 2: Click on “Register to apply for Ration Card” under the “Green Card” section.

Step 3: Fill the ERCMS Registration Form with your details like name (English and Hindi), father’s name, date of birth, mobile number, Aadhaar number, gender, category, card type, district, block, panchayat, and village.

Step 4: Upload all required documents and tick the consent box.

Step 5: Click “Register” to finish the application.

How to Search Ration Card Details

• Go to the official Aahar Jharkhand website.
• Click “Ration card details” under “Beneficiary card details.”
• Select your district, block, card type, and either village/ward or dealer.
• Enter your ration card number and captcha code.
• Click “Submit” to see your ration card details..

Check Your Ration Card Application Status

Step 1: Go to the official portal.

Step 2: Select “Green Card” from the navigation menu.

Step 3: From the dropdown, click on ‘Green Card Online Registration‘.

Step 4: On the new page, choose “Check Application Status.”

Step 5: Enter your ration card number or acknowledgment number and press the search button.
