The State government launches the various scheme with the name of Mukhyamantri Nishulk Bijli Yojana for the citizens of the state. This scheme works under the state electricity department, in which they will provide free electricity. Bijli Mitra represents India’s multifaceted approach to electricity sector reform and consumer empowerment.
Registering electricity related complaints through the app has also become easier than ever before. Be it power supply disruption, meter malfunction, bill discrepancy, transaction problem, loose wire, pole condition or employee behaviour, any issue can now be instantly reported by consumers on the app.
Bijli Mitra Portal
Various states across the country have launched online portals to assist citizens with electricity-related issues. In this connection, the Bijli Mitra portal has been launched to address electricity-related issues. Through this, consumers have been appealed to download this app and avail the benefits of digital services and get every service at home without going to the office.

Consumers can also upload photos and videos along with their complaints if they wish. After registering a complaint, they are notified of the status through SMS and app notifications. Most electricity-related services are now available to consumers via mobile.
Himachal Pradesh: Bijli Upbhokta Mitra Recruitment Program
Himachal Pradesh has adopted a different interpretation of “Bijli Mitra” through the recruitment of 1,602 Bijli Upbhokta Mitra. Himachal Pradesh State Electronic Development Corporation Limited (HPSEDCL), offering a fixed monthly honorarium of Rs 10,000 for a 6-hour daily duty. These Bijli Upbhokta Mitras will serve as field-level bridges between consumers and the electricity department.
Rajasthan Mukhyamantri Nishulk Bijli Yojana
Bijli Mitra initiative is Rajasthan’s Mukhyamantri Nishulk Bijli Yojana. This scheme provides 150 units of free electricity per month to all domestic consumers. The scheme is implemented through the Bijli Mitra portal and mobile application. To avail the benefits of the scheme, the applicant can register by visiting the official website bijlimitra.com.
Who are Eligible Consumers?
- All the citizens of Rajasthan.
- You can also check your eligibility from the portal by putting your Number and generating OTP Then your eligibility Criteria shown.
- If you are eligible under this scheme, then you have to give a separate consent letter to install the Solar Panel on the rooftop.
- This scheme is only applicable to domestic consumers of the state.
JVNL 150 Units Free Registration
- Open the portal, i.e. energy.rajasthan.gov.in/jvvnl/
- On Portal, you will get a link to apply online. Click on it.
- Here you will see the Scheme name, i.e. 150 Units Free Electricity registration link open in front of you.
- Enter your K Number and check eligibility.
- If you think you are eligible, then start completing the registration.
Units Free Bijlimitra Portal Registration
All three Rajasthan Discoms and the Government of Rajasthan launched this Bijlimitra Portal for completing the registration to get the benefits of the 150 Unit Fee.
- The official Portal of Bijli Mitra is www.bijlimitra.com/custumerLoginPage.
- Here again, you have to enter your K Number. K number is a Unique number different for every consumer of the state and has 12 digits.
- Now you have to generate the OTP, and then you will receive the same in your registered number.
- Now, put the One Time Password in the given place and then check and verify your eligibility Criteria.
- Here, if you are eligible, then confirm it and click to submit.
- You are also able to download the Bijli Mitra Mobile App on your phone and register with the help of the App.
- To apply offline for the scheme, visit to nearest Office.
Madhya Pradesh V-Mitra App for Electricity
In Madhya Pradesh, the electricity distribution company launched the V-Mitra (Vidyut Mitra) application. It uses geo-tagging and image uploads for accurate reporting, provides real-time tracking of complaints.
