What is LIC Bima Sakhi Yojana?

LIC has launched the Bima Sakhi Yojana especially for women in rural areas, under which women are being given the opportunity to become women agents. Under the LIC Bima Sakhi Scheme, training is provided to eligible women for 3 years on LIC’s insurance products. Women are also given a stipend during the training. LIC Bima Sakhi aims to empower women by enlisting 1,00,000 women within a year.

LIC Bima Sakhi Yojana is a three-year stipendiary programme launched on 9 December 2024 to train women, especially from rural areas. Under the LIC Bima Sakhi Yojana, training is provided to eligible women for 3 years on LIC’s insurance products, financial literacy tools and policies.

Benefits of Bima Sakhi Yojana

Monthly Salary: All the Bima Sakhi’s will be given monthly salary of

First year: ₹7,000 per month
Second year: ₹6,000 per month (paid if 65% of the policy is active in the first year)
Third year: ₹5,000 per month (paid if 65% of the policy is active in the second year)

Incentives: ₹2,100 per month for performance

Commission-Based Earnings: Extra rewards for successful policy sales

It is important to note that to get the stipend every year, at least 24 insurance policies will have to be sold.
