जन सूचना पोर्टल एक समेकित पोर्टल है जो नागरिकों को सरकारी सेवाओं और पहलों के बारे में व्यापक जानकारी प्रदान करता है, जिससे सरकारी कार्यालयों के चक्कर लगाने से आज़ादी मिल जाती है. जन सूचना पोर्टल के माध्यम से राज्य के आमजन को सरकारी योजनाओं और सेवाओं की जानकारी को प्रदान करना है.

Jan Soochna Portal पर सरकार द्वारा क्रियान्वित की जा रही सभी योजना की जानकारी मिल जाती है. इस पोर्टल पर 115 विभागों की 254 योजनाओं की 556 प्रकार की जानकारी पोर्टल पर उपलब्ध है. इसमें मनरेगा कार्यकर्ता की जानकारी, पेंशन, एफआईआर की स्थिति और भूमि रिकॉर्ड जैसे कार्यक्रम शामिल हैं.

इस एकीकृत पोर्टल के होने से राज्य के लोगों को निम्न्लिखित लाभ होंगे जैसे की:

• यह निवासियों को प्रचलित या राज्य सरकार के द्वारा चलाई गई के बारे में प्रामाणिक जानकारी उपलब्ध कराएगा।
• पहले लोगों को किसी योजना से संबंधित जानकारी के लिए कई पोर्टल पर जाना पड़ता था जिससे समय की बहुत बरबादी होती थी अब ऐसा नहीं है अब एक ही जगह सभी योजनाएँ उपलब्ध हैं।
• निवासी न्यायिक रूप से सूचना के अधिकार का अभ्यास करने में सक्षम होंगे।
• पहले की तरह अब किसी सरकारी दफ्तर के चक्कर काटने की भी जरूरत नहीं है।
