Mandahasam Scheme Kerala to Provide Free Dentures for Senior Citizens

The Mandahasam Scheme, launched by the Department of Social Justice, Government of Kerala. Old people face many problems, one of which is their teeth. So the Kerala govt. will provide artificial dentures to senior citizens. The scheme aims to reduce nutritional, physical, and mental problems faced by elderly people after losing teeth. This scheme is started by the Government of Kerala for giving free tooth sets to senior citizens. Elderly people are unable to chew their food due to decay or loss of teeth. To address this, the state government has launched the Mandahasam Yojana. Under this, the department will prepare a list of dental colleges and dental treatment centres, from where the beneficiaries can get treatment free of cost.

• The government also bears the cost of implanting artificial teeth and related medical expenses.
• This benefit does not apply to partial tooth replacement.
• As with welfare schemes, priority is given to those who are older.
• A certificate issued by a government-approved dentist, BPL card, and clear documents are required.

Eligibility Criteria for Kerala Mandahasam Scheme

Eligibility for the Mandahasam Scheme is applicable, and the applicant must possess the following requirements. Each applicant will have to fulfill the described eligibility criteria.

• The applicant must be be a permanent resident of Kerala.
• Applicant must be a senior citizens.
• The elderly person must belong to the below poverty line (BPL) category.

Registration Process

Step 1: To avail of the benefits of the scheme, the applicant needs to visit SUNEETHI- Online Service Application Portal

Step 2: On the home page, click on “One time Registration”

Step 3: Fill in the details like Name, Email ID & Mobile Number and click on ‘Register’.

Step 4: The applicant needs to enter the verification code received on the mobile number and click on ‘Verify’.

Step 5: Now, a form will open to create the new profile, fill in all the mandatory details and click on ‘Register’.

Login/Application Process

Step 1: Once the registration process is completed, the applicant should visit SUNEETHI- Online Service Application Portal and click on “Citizen Login”.

Step 2: Enter the user name i.e. Mobile Number and Password and click on “Sign in”.

Step 3: Now, the applicant needs to update all their details i.e. Personal Information, Contact Details, Identity Cards & Bank Details by clicking on the ‘Edit’ button.

Step 4: Once the applicant updated their profile successfully, the schemes will appear on the left side of the screen.

Step 5: Select the scheme and click on the “Apply Now” button.

Step 6: Fill in all the mandatory details in the application form and click on the ‘Submit’ button.
