What is NSP Scholarship Portal?
NSP (National Scholarship Portal) is a dedicated online scholarship portal which enlists multiple scholarships for students across India. The National Scholarship Portal (NSP) is a government scholarship program. Scholarship applications and status checks can be made through this portal. Its main objective is to make the scholarship distribution process transparent so that all eligible students can get the scholarship on time.
Through the NSP login portal, students can access a wide range of scholarship schemes offered by central and state government. The scholarships available here are divided into two categories. The first category includes children in grades 1 to 10, and the second category includes students from grades 11 to graduation.

Under this scheme, students from elementary to higher education receive scholarships of up to ₹75,000. This digital gateway (NSP Scholarship), various scholarship schemes are provided for SC/ST/OBC/Minority and General category students. What is the eligibility criteria for NSP Scholarship?
Scholarships offered by the Central/State governments are only available to eligible students, based on a number of factors including their financial status, educational background, and more. Some of these criteria are listed below:
- The annual household income of the applicant’s family must not exceed ₹250,000.
- The applicant must be an Indian citizen.
- Must be enrolled in a recognized Indian educational institution.
- Your family income must be below the income limit set for the scholarship scheme.
- You must meet the educational qualifications set for the scholarship scheme.
- Students must pass the final examination.
- Valid caste certificate.
- Student must have Aadhaar card

NSP Scholarship Online Apply
- Visit the official NSP website, scholarships.gov.in.
- On the homepage, you will find the ‘Student’ option on the left and click on it.
- Now, click on the “OTR” option displayed and register yourself for OTR if you are a new user.
- Click on the Register option and then select Guidelines, Register Mobile Number, eKYC, and Finish.
- The next step is to provide details such as the applicant’s name, date of birth, mobile number, email ID, place of residence, category, etc.
- Now, return to the home page and log in with the required details such as your OTR ID and password to complete the NSP scholarship registration.
- After successfully logging in, please apply online for the scholarship scheme.
- Enter the required information into the form, including bank account details and other details.
- After entering the information, upload the scanned documents in the correct size in PDF or JPEG format.
- Now submit the form to the National Scholarship Portal.
During the application process, you must enter the required information accurately. You must also upload the required documents, such as your Aadhaar card, income certificate, caste certificate, etc. Candidates must follow the steps outlined above to complete the online application form. To receive the scholarship amount, it is mandatory for the beneficiary student(s) to study from class 1 to graduation.
