The state government of West Bengal announced a new scheme known as the “Taruner Swapna Prakalpa Scheme”. This scheme aims to uplift the young students in West Bengal by helping them in meeting their basic digital needs. It is one of the educational reform schemes of West Bengal Government.

Taruner Swapna Scheme aims to provide advanced technological education to all the eligible students across the state. For this the government provides financial support to all the 11th and 12th class students for buying a laptop, Tablets, and smartphones for their studies.

Nowadays, education is becoming more dependent on digital tools. In this fastest-growing generation, digital education is equally important as offline education. Under this Scheme, Rs 10,000/- will be provided as financial assistance to students to purchase Tablet/ Smartphone/ PC. If you’re a permanent resident and a student of classes 11th and 12th and wish to avail the benefits of this scheme.

Eligibility Criteria

• The applicant must be a permanent resident of West Bengal
• Applicant must be a student
• Applicant must be studying in class 11th or 12th
• The applicant’s family income is below ₹2 lakh annually
• Applicants must be studying in government schools
• Applicants must have passed their previous class

Ineligibility Criteria

• The application belongs to another state
• Applicant is not a student
• Applicant is not studying in class 11th or 12th
• The applicant’s family income is above ₹2 lakh annually
• Applicant is studying in a private school
• Applicants haven’t passed their previous class

How to Apply For Taruner Swapna Prakalpa Scheme

Step 1: All the eligible beneficiaries can apply for this scheme with the help of the school administration.

Step 2: After that, applicants need to contact the staff of the school administration and get the application form.

Step 3: Now applicants need to enter all the accurate details in the application form.

Step 4: After that, the school staff will forward the applicant’s application form to the concerned department

Step 5: Now, if the applicant’s application form is accepted, then the applicants will receive the financial support of ₹10,000 directly transferred.

Step 6: After receiving the funds, applicants need to buy the device and submit the bill for the same to the school office.
