The UDID Card refers to the Unique Disability ID Card. Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Central Govt. is inviting online applications for Unique Disability ID Card. It is an integrated system for issuance of Universal ID & Disability Certificates for Person with Disabilities (PwDs).
The UDID (Unique Disability Identity) card is given by the Government of India to create a database of persons with disabilities. The UDID card number has 18 characters. These include state code, district code, CMO code, disability type, year of birth, running number and a check digit for security.

What is the UDID card?
UDID Unique Disability ID (UDID) card is a government-issued identification card for persons with disabilities. UDID card / Disability Certificate to avail schemes and benefits provided by the Government through its various Ministries and their Departments. It is the universal ID that is accepted all across the country.
Types of UDID Card
There are three types of UDID cards. They are as follows:
White Card: This card is issued if the if the beneficiary’s disability is below 40%
Yellow Card: This card is issued if the if the beneficiary’s disability is above 40% but on or below 80%
Blue Card: This card is issued if the if the beneficiary’s disability is above 80%

Apply Online for UDID Card / Disability Certificate
Govt. is implementing this project to create National Database and issue Unique Disability Identity Card for PwDs. The UDID card application process is completely online, making it easier and faster to apply. Below is the complete procedure to apply online:-
- Visit the official website of the Unique Disability ID.
- On the home page, click on the ‘Apply for Disability Certificate & UDID’ option.
- Enter your personal, disability, employment, and identity information.
- Upload all the relevant documents and click on ‘Submit.’
How to Download your E-UDID Card
Given below are the steps you will need to follow to download your E-UDID Card:
Step 1: Visit the official website of the Unique Disability ID.
Step 2: Before you, the home page will load.
Step 3: Click the get your e-disability card and e-UDID links on the homepage.
Step 4: After that, a login page will show up in front of you.
Step 5: You must enter your enrolment number, birthdate, and captcha code on the login page.
Step 6: You must then click the login button.
Step 7: You must now select the download option.
Step 8: Your smartphone will download your e-disability card and e-UDID card.
