What is Mukhyamantri Mahila Rojgar Yojana?
To provide self-employment opportunities to women in Bihar, the Chief Minister has decided to launch the Mukhyamantri Mahila Rojgar Yojana. Under this scheme, eligible women are provided financial assistance ranging from ₹10,000 to ₹2 lakh to start their own businesses. Through this amount, women will be able to start their own small business.
Eligibility for Chief Minister Women Employment Scheme
- The applicant must be between 18 and 60 years of age.
- The applicant or any member of their family must not be subject to income tax.
- The applicant or any member of their family must not hold a government job.
- To apply for the scheme, it is necessary to join a Jeevika Self-Help Group.
- Only one woman from a family will benefit from this scheme.
- Family refers to a husband, wife, and their unmarried children.
- If a family has an unmarried woman and the parents are not alive, it will be considered a separate family.

How to fill the form for Chief Minister Women Employment Scheme
Women can apply for the Chief Minister’s Women’s Employment Scheme, launched by the Bihar government. To apply, follow the steps below.
If you are not associated with a self-help group
STEP-1
- If you are not associated with a self-help group, click on the Jeevika link on the official portal.
- The screen will ask you: Are you affiliated with a self-help group?
- Click ‘No’ here, tick the pledge, and proceed.
- Once you tick, you’ll be prompted to enter your Aadhaar number, name on Aadhaar, father’s name, and mobile number.
- Then click Send OTP and enter the OTP received on your mobile.
- Then, fill in all the requested information carefully and submit.
STEP-2
- After applying online, you will be contacted by a community resource worker working in your area.
- After joining the group, you will fill out an enrollment form.
If you are associated with a self-help group
- If you are associated with an urban self-help group, there is no need to fill out this form.
- You can contact your area level organization (ALO/CRP).
- You will be called to the Self Help Group meeting to fill the form
How can women in rural areas apply?
- All women associated with Jeevika Self Help Groups are eligible for this scheme.
- To avail the benefits, you must apply at your village organization.
- A meeting of all group members will be held, where application forms will be collected.
- If you are not already associated with a Jeevika group, you must first join one.
The first installment of ₹10,000 has begun arriving in beneficiaries’ accounts under the Chief Minister’s Women’s Employment Scheme. Along with the release of the funds, the work undertaken by the women will be reviewed. After this, if needed, women will also be given additional financial assistance of Rs 2 lakh.
