Maharashtra Government has launched the Swayampurna Maharashtra Residential Rooftop (SMART) Solar Scheme to encourage domestic consumers. These subsidies help reduce the cost for homeowners, businesses, and farmers to install solar panels. This scheme offers substantial subsidies for installing rooftop solar panels. The Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) will implement the project.
SMART Solar Scheme initiative aimed at promoting solar energy adoption among low-income households in Maharashtra. Under the scheme launched by the state government, 5 lakh families are to be made self-reliant in power generation and the electricity bill is to be reduced to almost zero.
