The Madhya Pradesh government has launched the Inter-Caste Marriage Scheme to promote inter-caste marriages. This scheme supports couples who marry outside their caste. Under this scheme, the bride and groom will receive ₹2 lakh for inter-caste marriages. MP Inter Caste Marriage

The Madhya Pradesh state government has launched the Inter-Caste Marriage Scheme to encourage inter-caste marriages. Under this scheme, couples are also provided financial assistance of up to 2 lakh rupees. The aim of this scheme is to recognize and respect couples who marry inter-caste. The registration of these newly married couples will be done under the Hindu Marriage Act 1955.

The objective of the Inter-Caste Marriage Scheme is to eliminate discrimination, casteism and untouchability and to reward and honour such couples when a boy or girl marries a boy or girl from Scheduled Caste.

Under the MP Inter-caste Marriage Promotion Scheme, only if the bride or groom in the married couple, one of whom belongs to a higher caste and the other belongs to the Scheduled Caste (SC), will have to submit an application to the District Magistrate. After which such courageous couples will be given a certificate along with an incentive amount of Rs 2 lakh.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicants must be residents of Madhya Pradesh state.
  • One of the two i.e either bride or groom must belong to SC category. Other one of either bride / groom must be of other caste.
  • The age of bride must be above 18 years while that of groom to be above 21 years.
  • Marriage must be registered under Hindu Marriage Act, 1955.
  • Applicants must have an active mobile number.
  • Applicants must have a bank account in their own name.

How to Apply Online for MP Inter Caste Marriage Yojana

To avail the benefits of Madhya Pradesh Inter Caste Marriage Promotion Scheme (Antarjatiya Vivah Protsahan Yojana MP), the newly married couple has to apply online within 1 year of their marriage. All the interested candidates who want to avail the benefits of the scheme will have to fill MP Inter Caste Marriage Yojana online application.

STEP 2: At the homepage, click at the “Inter Caste Marriage Scheme” link.

STEP 3: Direct Link to apply online for Mp Inter Cast Marriage – https://scdevelopmentmp.nic.in/Public/Pages/InterCasteMarriage.aspx

STEP 4: Upon clicking this link, the MP Inter Caste Marriage Yojana online application / registration form will open as shown in below image.

STEP 5: Here fill in all the details of bride and groom, upload photo and other documents and click at “Submit” button to complete process.
