There are a lot of women in the country who are widowed and unable to support themselves financially. In this connection, Vidhwa Pension Yojana has been started by the government. Its objective is to provide financial assistance to such women whose husbands have died and who are financially weak.

All those women whose age is between 18 to 59 years can benefit from this scheme. Under this scheme, eligible widowed women are given a pension of ₹500 per month, so that they can meet their basic needs and become self-reliant.
