Gujarat government is going to invite online applications for RTE Gujarat Admission 2026-27 through the official portal at rte.orpgujarat.com. These online portals facilitate the RTE admission process governed by the Gujarat State Government. All the selected students will get 25% reservation in admission in various schools of Gujarat.
Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education (RTE) Act of 2009 mandates the inclusion of children. The Act establishes education as a fundamental entitlement for all children. All the eligible candidates would be able to apply online at rte.orpgujarat.com for admissions under RTE.

The government of Gujarat has established a comprehensive system within the Right to Education (RTE) program. Online applications for Candidates have to fill the application form online through the official website rte.orpgujarat.com of RTE Gujarat Admissions.

Gujarat RTE Admission 2026-27: Priority Categories
The Gujarat RTE Admission for the year 2026-27 will prioritize the following categories for school admissions:
- Orphaned children
- Children in need of attention and protection
- Children of nomadic tribes
- Children of working parents/ children of identified workers
- Children with mental disabilities or special needs
- Children receiving Anti-Retroviral Therapy (ART)
- Children of armed forces/ paramilitary/ police personnel who died in service
- Children of workers in hazardous occupations
- Daughters of single parents and those daughters themselves
- Children studying in government-recognized schools in tribal areas
- Children from families with BPL status across all categories (SC, ST, SEBC, general, etc.)
- SC and ST category children from the reservation list
- Children from socially and educationally backward classes/ other backward classes/ minorities/ tribal communities/ children of free caste

Important Information about Documents Upload

- If scanned, photocopied, or non-authentic documents are uploaded, the form will be rejected.
- Documents can only be uploaded in JPEG or PDF format.
- The document size must be less than 450 KB.
- If the proof of residence consists of multiple pages (e.g., rent agreement), it must be uploaded in a single PDF file with a size not exceeding 5 MB.

Eligibility Criteria for RTE Gujarat Admissions
The candidates must fulfill the following eligibility criteria to apply online for RTE Gujarat Admission.
SC / ST Candidates – The annual income of the parents of the candidates from all sources must not exceed Rs. 2 Lakh.
OBC Candidates – Annual income of the parents of the candidates must not exceed Rs. 1 lakh.
General Category – The total income of the parents must not exceed Rs. 68,000 in case of General candidates.
