The central government has launched the Jan Aushadhi Suvidha Sanitary Napkin Scheme to promote menstrual hygiene among women. Under this scheme, sanitary pads are being made available to women for just one rupee. Jan Aushadhi Suvidha sanitary napkins are being made available at Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana (PMBJP) centres at a minimum rate of Rs 1 per pad.
These Suvidha sanitary pads will help under-privileged women as the average price of a packet. This scheme is extremely beneficial for women. It will greatly help them during menstruation and will also save money. All women can easily purchase these pads.
