Madhya Pradesh Akanksha Yojana

The Tribal Affairs Department of the Madhya Pradesh Government has launched Aakansha Scheme for Scheduled Tribe students. Under this scheme, students from Scheduled Tribe category are provided free coaching facilities for examinations like JEE, NEET/AIIMS, CLET by getting them admitted in reputed coaching institutes in big cities like Indore, Bhopal, Gwalior and Jabalpur.

Many students in the state are unable to pursue their desired studies due to financial difficulties. Keeping this in mind, the state government launched the Akanksha Yojana. Through which quality coaching is being provided to the students for preparation of national entrance examinations.

Madhya Pradesh Akanksha Yojana

The government is providing free coaching facility to the students of Scheduled Tribe (ST) community studying in class 11th and 12th. The state government will not only provide free admission to these coaching institutes and prepare for the exams, but will also provide accommodation facilities to the students.

This scheme provides free coaching for national entrance exams such as JEE-NEET, AIMS, and CLAT to Scheduled Tribe students in grades 11 and 12. Renowned coaching institutes in major cities such as Indore, Bhopal, Gwalior, and Jabalpur will be selected for this purpose.

In addition to their studies in Class 11, each coaching center in the state will select 100 engineering students and 50 each for medical and CLAT. This will provide coaching to a total of 200 students at each coaching center.

Akanksha Yojana Terms and Conditions

Following are the necessary rules and conditions related to Akanksha Yojana.

  • The applicant’s bank account must be linked to their Aadhaar number.
  • The applicant must have a digital caste certificate.
  • The applicant student must have secured 60 percent or more marks in class 10th.
  • The applicant will have to appear in the entrance exam conducted by the coaching institute.

Akanksha Yojana Eligibility Criteria

Candidates fulfilling the following eligibility criteria can apply for this scheme.

  • The applicant must have passed Class 10 and taken admission in Class 11.
  • The applicant must have secured 60% or more marks in the Class 10 board examination.
  • The applicant must be a domiciled resident of Madhya Pradesh.
  • The applicant must be a member of a Scheduled Tribe.
  • The annual income of the applicant from all sources including his/her parents/guardian/himself should not exceed Rs 6 lakh.

Akanksha Yojana Required Documents

To apply under Aakanksha Scheme, it is mandatory for the applicant to have the following documents.

  • Class 10th marksheet
  • Aadhaar card
  • Bank account details
  • Residence certificate
  • Caste certificate

How To Apply For Akanksha Yojana

Step 1: First of all, go to the official website of the department www.tribal.mp.gov.in and click on the online services option.

Step 2: Now login to Madhya Pradesh Tribal Portal through the username and password received after profile registration.

Step 3: Upon login, a new page will be available, where click on the ‘Apply’ button given on the left side.

Step 4: After clicking the Apply option, the Aspiration Plan Rules/Instructions manual will appear on your screen. After reading it, click the “My Consent” button.

Step 5: After providing your consent, the Aakanksha Scheme application form will be available. Enter your 10th MP Board exam roll number on the application form and click the ‘Get Details’ button.

Step 6: After entering the roll number, the 10th class information will be displayed and options will be available to select the course and location preference.

Step 7: Now select one of the following courses in the ‘Course Name’ drop down list.

  • JEE (For Engineering)
  • CLAT (for Law)
  • AIIMS/NEET-(for Medical)

Step 8: Select the city preference for the coaching location. For example, select 01 for Bhopal city as first priority, 02 for Indore as second priority and select ‘NP’ for no priority for other cities.

Step 9: After submitting the information, you will be displayed the information filled in the application form, which you can print.

Step 10: Information will be sent to the email ID and mobile number provided during profile registration.

By taking advantage of Akanksha Yojana, students can prepare for national entrance exams like JEE, NEET, AIIMS, Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) for free.
