The Majhi Ghar Scheme launched by Goa Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant to provide affordable and secure homes to thousands of citizens across the state. Under the scheme approx 50% of Goa’s population gets access to quality and affordable housing facilities. Under this scheme government aims to provide land at minimum circle rates.

All the residents of Goa will receive the 400 sqm with a two-meter buffer and the plinth area in government land. Government wants 100 percent coverage of eligible pre-1972 houses within a clear timeline.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be permanent citizens of Goa.
- The applicant or any family member should not own a house anywhere in Goa.
- This scheme targets families belonging to the Economically Weaker Section (EWS).
- Benefits will be distributed through local Gram Panchayat units to ensure fair access.
Documents Required
- Aadhaar card, residence proof, and mobile number for contact updates and identity match
- Birth certificate or other age proof to support year-wise eligibility where needed
- Income certificate if asked in special cases by office for category identification
- House papers like old records, tax receipts, electricity bill, water bill, or any village level record that helps prove long use and house age
- Bank account details for any refund or transaction reference that may arise during processing
- Recent passport size photographs as per size asked on the form cover page
- Caste certificate only if the office list for your area mentions it as required
How to Apply Goa Majhe Ghar Scheme Online
Step 1: Firstly, applicants need to visit the official portal to apply for this scheme
Step 2: After that, the homepage will appear on the applicant’s desktop. Applicants need to click on the option called “Apply Online.”
Step 3: Now, a new page will appear on the applicant’s desktop, and an application form will open on the new page
Step 4: After that, applicants need to enter all the required details that are asked for
