Madhya Pradesh Government has launched Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah Yojana for the marriage of daughters/widows/divorced women of all poor, needy and destitute families in the state. Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah Yojana targets the upliftment of underprivileged sections through structured support systems.

This scheme is being implemented by the Department of Social Justice and Disabled Welfare. Under this scheme, even people from poor sections of society are able to marry off their daughters in a respectable manner. An incentive of ₹55,000 per couple is allocated to each eligible beneficiary.

What is Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah Yojana?

The Madhya Pradesh government has launched the CM Kanya Vivah Yojana to provide financial assistance for the marriage of poor daughters, so that their parents are not burdened financially and their daughters can be married in a respectable manner. Under the Chief Minister Marriage Promotion or Kanyadaan Scheme, the government provides financial assistance of Rs 55,000 on the marriage of all the girls who get married in mass marriage.

The Madhya Pradesh government has made some additional changes to the Kanya Vivah Yojana. The girl’s parents must be from the poor class and listed on the BPL (Bharat Prabandhak Yojana). Legally divorced women can also benefit from this scheme.

What is the eligibility for Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah Yojana?

• The girl must be a permanent resident of Madhya Pradesh.
• The girl must be at least 18 years old, and the boy must be 21 years or older.
• The woman must be legally divorced (divorce papers must be submitted).
• The income limit for availing the Kanya Vivah Yojana has been removed.
• But the girl must marry in a mass marriage ceremony.
• A girl who marries someone else will not be eligible for this scheme.
• Marriage must take place within the dates specified by the government.

Documents required for Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah Yojana

• Aadhaar card (for both the boy and the girl, and their parents)
• Birth certificate for the boy and the girl
• Samagra ID number (for both the groom and the bride)
• Caste certificate (if applicable)
• Details of a single bank account in the girl’s name
• Passport-size photographs of the bride and groom
• Mobile numbers of the boy and girl
• If the girl is a widow, her former husband’s death certificate.
• If she is divorced, her divorce papers.
• If she is a registered worker, a copy of her labor registration card.

Step 2: Create a new user account or access your existing one via Aadhaar or email credentials.

Step 3: Enter your details such as age, income, and other eligibility information in the application form accurately.

Step 4: Complete your application for Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah Yojana by uploading the mandatory documents like ID proof and account details.

Step 5: After reviewing your Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah Yojana application, hit submit and securely store the acknowledgement slip.

After submitting an application, applicants will be screened by a review committee and couples will be selected for the mass wedding ceremony, information about which will be shared with the Marriage Portal.
