The central government has launched the Parliament Adarsh Gram Yojana (MPA) to modernize the country’s rural areas. Under this scheme, each MP will adopt a village and ensure that the benefits of government-run schemes for its upliftment are made available to all.
Through the MP Adarsh Gram Yojana, the government is striving to strengthen the economic condition of village families and promote social, economic, human, and personal development. Under this scheme, all MPs of the country are given a Gram Sabha.
Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana
The Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana (SAGY) is a village development project being implemented across the country. The Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana aims to promote development and infrastructure in villages. Members of Parliament from all political parties are required to adopt a village.
The Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana aims to provide basic amenities and employment to people in rural areas. The central government aims to connect more than 2,500 of the 600,000 villages under the scheme.

To ensure the successful implementation of the Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana, each District Collector will designate an Officer-in-Charge at the local level. This officer will be fully responsible and accountable for the implementation of SAGY.
