What is Mukhyamantri Nischay Swayam Sahayata Bhatta Yojana?
The Bihar government has launched the “Chief Minister’s Self-Help Allowance” scheme to provide financial assistance to unemployed youth in the state. This scheme is only available to youth who have passed the 12th grade. Such unemployed youth are given Rs 1000 per month by the Bihar government.
Objective of Nischay Swayam Sahayata Bhatta Yojana
- Financial assistance to unemployed youth aged 20 to 25 years who have passed 12th grade.
- In Bihar, this unemployment allowance will be provided at the rate of Rs. 1,000 per month.
- Youth can find jobs by taking advantage of the Bihar unemployment allowance.
- This allowance will be available for two years under the Chief Minister’s Self-Help Group.
Eligibility for Unemployment Allowance Scheme
- Applicants must be citizens of Bihar.
- Applicants must be between 20 and 25 years of age.
- They must have completed 12th grade from a recognized school in Bihar.
- Had to drop out of school after 12th grade or graduation and are unemployed.
- Not receiving any other benefits, such as scholarships, student credit cards, or education loans.
- The applicant must not be working for any government or non-government organization.
- Unemployment allowance will stop as soon as you find employment.
- To receive unemployment allowance, you must undergo basic computer training under the Skilled Youth Program.
- You will receive the last five months’ allowance only if you submit a certificate from this program.

- 12th-grade marksheet and certificate from a school in Bihar.
- 10th-grade marksheet or certificate with date of birth.
- Residence certificate
- Photocopy of the first page of your bank passbook
- Bank account number, name, address, and IFSC code
- Aadhaar card
How to apply for unemployment allowance?
Step 1: Visit the official website https://www.7nishchay-yuvaupmission.bihar.gov.in/.
Step 2: After visiting the website, click on the ‘New Applicant Registration’ option.
Step 3: Now you have to enter name, mobile number, email ID and Aadhar number to register.
Step 4: After registration, a one-time password (OTP) will be sent to your mobile number and email address, verify it.
Step 5: After verification, login using user ID and password.
Step 6: After logging in to the portal, select Chief Minister Nishchay Self-Help Allowance Scheme.
Step 7: Now a new page will open in front of you, in which you have to enter all the necessary information.
Step 8: After entering the details, scan and upload the required documents (like Aadhar Card, Bank Passbook, Educational Certificate, Residence Certificate, etc.).
Step 9: Now submit the form, after which take a printout of the acknowledgement slip.
Young men and women interested in taking advantage of this scheme can contact the District Registration and Counseling Center in their district. Under the Chief Minister’s Self-Help Allowance Scheme, eligible youth receive a monthly allowance of ₹1,000 directly into their bank account (DBT).
