The Government of India has introduced a significant initiative for international travelers. To enhance the immigration experience, the Central Government has launched the Fast Track Immigration Program. This program is especially useful for individuals who often face long delays at immigration checkpoints when traveling abroad. Now, travelers can receive immigration clearance quickly through the E-Gate system.
The Indian government has introduced a new fast-track immigration system for Indian citizens and Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) cardholders at major airports such as Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru.
Fast Track Immigration Program
The Fast Track Immigration – Trusted Traveler Programme is a new initiative by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) of the Government of India. Its main goal is to make the immigration process faster, more modern, and secure. This program is available for travelers who have already registered and had their identity and documents verified.
These travelers can use the E-Gate at the airport and receive immediate clearance after a passport scan and biometric verification. This will eliminate the need to wait in long queues. The service is currently available at Terminal 3 of Delhi Airport.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicant may ensure that the Passport is valid for at least 6 months at the time of applying for FTI-TTP.
- Membership of programme will be for 10 years or till validity of the Passport.
- All the documents should be correct and updated.
Documents are required for fast-track immigration
Applicants must upload the following documents (as applicable) during the online registration process:
- Passport-size Photograph
- Must follow Indian passport photo guidelines
- Face (including ears) should cover about three-fourths of the photo
- Should be recent (not older than six months)
- The background must be plain white
- Scanned Copy of Passport
- The passport must be valid for at least 6 months
- Upload both:
- Front page with photo and personal details
- Last page with family information
- Proof of Present Address
- Upload a valid document showing your current residential address

Steps to Register with Trusted Traveller Program
The FTI-TTP will be launched at 21 major airports in the country. Applicant can sign up after successful authentication of their identity through mobile OTP and email verification.
Step 1 : Apply online at the government website – www.ftittp.mha.gov.in and fill in the required details.
Step 2 : After verification by the Bureau of Immigration, the approved applicant will receive an email or SMS to proceed.
Step 3 : Visit the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO) or a dedicated counter at Delhi Airport for biometric enrolment.
Step 4 : Submit biometric details to finalize the registration process.
