People can apply online for Instant e-PAN using Aadhar Card absolutely free of cost in just 10 minutes. To get instant e-PAN card, all you need is your aadhaar card & linked mobile number.
The Income Tax Department offers an Instant e-PAN service, allowing individuals with a valid Aadhaar number (with updated Mobile number) can avail the e-PAN allotment facility.

What is e-PAN Card?
An e-PAN card is a digitally issued version of the traditional PAN card, issued by the Income Tax Department. Eligibility for Instant e-PAN Card
The following are the core requirements for getting an instant PAN through Aadhaar-based e-KYC:
- A PAN Card is never allotted to you.
- You should not be a minor at the time of application.
- You need a valid Aadhaar card with a linked mobile number.
- Your full date of birth (DD/MM/YY) should be present on your Aadhaar card.
- You should not fall under the category of Representative Assessee as per section 160 of the Income Tax Act.
How to Apply For Instant e-PAN Card With Aadhaar?
Applicants can apply for e-PAN card on the NSDL or the UTIITSL website. They can apply for an instant e-PAN card on the Income Tax website. Here is the brief process to apply for e-PAN card on the NSDL or UTIITSL website:
- Visit the NSDL or UTIITSL website.
- Select the option to not receive the physical PAN card or ‘e-PAN card’ on the PAN card application.

STEP 3: Enter PAN card number, full name, date of birth, mobile number, and click “Continue“.
STEP 4: Validate OTP and PAN verification details will open.
Applicants can verify their PAN card details using one time password (OTP) on their registered mobile phone number. The e-PAN card is a secure and valid digital alternative to the traditional PAN card.
