Donald Trump’s ‘Gold Card’ or ‘Golden Visa’ scheme, which offers permanent residency and optional citizenship of the United States for $5 million. Trump said that the “gold card” would offer the benefits of a green card and serve as a route to American citizenship.
The Gold Card is an administration-branded immigration pathway pitched as a premium alternative to green cards for a steep price and offering a path to citizenship, according to official announcements and major media reporting.
Trump Gold Card Scheme
“Trump Gold Card” refers to a Trump-branded immigration program announced in 2025 that promises a fast-track U.S. residency pathway for wealthy foreigners. Through this, anyone can apply online for Gold Card to live in USA.
Trump is also making some changes to the H-1B program, imposing a $100,000 application fee to prevent heavy use, which will significantly increase costs for technology and other companies seeking foreign skilled workers. This will help in job creation and growth in America.
The “gold card” would replace the existing EB-5 immigrant investor visa program, which allows foreign investors to apply for lawful permanent residence. Even for those who are granted an EB-5, the green card they receive is conditional for two years.
